  When will we have Armageddon, according to the last new light?

  i'm just curious: has the watchtower said when we will have armageddon, or they are avoiding to give any date, or are they avoiding noticing that all the signs are there to suggest that there is a specific date we should look forward to?

  If the Big "A" is soooo close......why waste time & resources on a new song book, making all these doctrinal & organizational changes and moving the WTS HQ to Patterson? Could an organization that claims to be God's Channel on earth for truth, please have a record of non-changing complete truth at least for a little while before the end comes?

  Brother, Sister

  the witnesses refer to each other as "brother" or "sister.

  " this is supposedly because they are a "spiritual family" and this is supposed to encourage that feeling.. but how often did you refer to your biological brothers and sisters by their title?

  Think About It

  I was always being counselled by my fellow elders for using first names instead of Brother Surname.

  I got this alot from one particular PO who was always negative & critical. I liked to mix it up by sometimes calling on them by their actual first name. To me always saying Brother or Sister and then their last name sounded cultish. According to the WTS the PO was right, so I had to say Brother or Sister the vast majority of the time.

  I would not picket a KH. They may be misguided, but there are some good people inside. If anything of the JW's needs picketed it's the WTS HQ.

  when still in the watchtower, i used to be an assistant ministerial servant.

  true, there is no such title but its there unofficially for those one step to being a ministerial servant.

  I hate it when the JW leadership acts immature. It's obvious you are peaceful and not obnoxious, nor causing disorder. They should have been mature about things and greeted you, then seated you. Once the observance begins it is your business whether to pass or partake of the emblems. After that an inquiry on how you folks were doing and that they would like to see you there more if you could make it would not have been out of line. Strange people and to think I use to be one. (don't recall ever being extreme or rude though)

  i am asking this based on sd-7's posts and am curious what you consider fair as far as house upkeep in the position you are in.. i was raised in the 60/70 decades from parents married in the 1950's so i seem to have a pretty old fashioned idea of what "housewife" means.. when i was working i had no tolerance for any slop habits, but since i'm home i don't require much.. so what are your ideals, how does your home operate?

  just got back from memorial.

  only went so that i could say to my parents that i had gone and to remind myself why i left.. oh my word!!!

  it was sooooo painful.. got there a bit late - it was a couple of minutes into the talk.

  I was gonna go and have some wine but I ended up with my girlfriend partaking something else. She was chanting "Oh god oh god" Does that count as a Godly song? I think she was praying because her eyes were closed... unless.,.. the only weird thing is that she started speaking in tongues.
